Stephanie Volo Named Woman of Influence by Pet Age Magazine

Westbrook, ME (March, 2015) – Stephanie Volo, Co-CEO of Planet Dog, has been named a 2015 Woman of Influence by Pet Age Magazine, a national publication covering the pet industry.
The Women of Influence awards honor women leaders who are influential in the pet manufacturing or servicing industry. To qualify, a nominee had to meet selection criteria that included working in the pet industry and possessing significant authority for decision making within a company or organization.
Stephie has been with Planet Dog since 1998 and has grown the company from 3 to 35 pack members. She leads her team through strategic planning, budgeting, operations and management, marketing and sales, and product design and development. She has served as the Vice President of the Board of the Planet Dog Foundation since 2006, and has recently joined the Board of Directors of the Pet Industry Sustainability Coalition where Planet Dog is a Founding Member.
Winners were chosen by an independent panel of judges including: Callie Hartzell of Natural Balance; Marci Hickey of Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA) and Marian Thielson of American Pet Products Association (APPA).
